About Rotate Image

Rotate JPEG, PNG, and WebP images by 90, 180, or 270 degrees clockwise. Fix sideways photos from cameras or phones. All processing happens in your browser.

How It Works

The image is loaded onto an OffscreenCanvas. For 90° and 270° rotations, the canvas dimensions are swapped (width becomes height and vice versa). A rotation transform is applied before drawing.

Step by Step

Tips

90° clockwise is the same as 270° counter-clockwise.
Use 180° to flip an upside-down image.
EXIF rotation from cameras is not preserved — the pixel data is rotated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rotate by a custom angle like 45°?

Currently only 90°, 180°, and 270° are supported. Custom angles would change the canvas dimensions.

Does rotating affect image quality?

The rotation itself is lossless. For JPEG output, re-encoding may cause minimal quality loss (controlled by the quality setting).
